Participant Waiver and Release of Liability

This Waiver and Release of Liability ("Waiver") is executed by the undersigned participant ("Participant") in connection with their voluntary participation in the Design Mentorship Program ("Program") facilitated by [Organization Name] ("Mentor Organization"). By signing this Waiver, the Participant acknowledges and agrees to the following:

1. Voluntary Participation

The Participant understands that participation in the Program is entirely voluntary and that they are choosing to participate of their own free will. The Participant acknowledges that participation in the Program does not guarantee any specific results, employment opportunities, or endorsements from the Mentor Organization or its mentors.

2. Assumption of Risk

The Participant understands that participating in the Program involves risks associated with collaborative activities, feedback on personal work, and professional development. The Participant assumes full responsibility for any risk of harm, injury, or loss that may arise from their participation in the Program, including but not limited to emotional, professional, or financial losses.

3. No Guarantees or Warranties

The Mentor Organization and its mentors make no representations or warranties about the accuracy, usefulness, or completeness of the information provided during the Program. The Participant understands that the mentorship is advisory in nature and that decisions made as a result of the mentorship are the sole responsibility of the Participant.

4. Release of Liability

The Participant, on behalf of themselves, their heirs, assigns, and personal representatives, hereby releases, waives, and discharges the Mentor Organization, its officers, directors, employees, volunteers, agents, and mentors from any and all claims, demands, actions, or causes of action arising out of or related to any injury, loss, or damage sustained as a result of their participation in the Program.

5. Confidentiality and Intellectual Property

The Participant agrees not to disclose any confidential information or proprietary materials of the Mentor Organization, mentors, or other participants in the Program without express written permission. The Participant retains all intellectual property rights to the work they create during the Program unless otherwise agreed in writing.

6. Indemnification

The Participant agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Mentor Organization and its affiliates, employees, volunteers, and mentors from any claims, liabilities, or damages (including legal fees) arising out of their participation in the Program.

7. Non-Employment Relationship

The Participant understands that participation in the Program does not create an employment or contractor relationship between the Participant and the Mentor Organization or its mentors. The Program is a professional development initiative, and no compensation will be provided for participation unless otherwise specified in a separate agreement.

9. Governing Law

This Waiver shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of The United Kingdom of Great Britain. Any disputes arising under this Waiver shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in The United Kingdom of Great Britain.

10. Acknowledgment of Understanding

The Participant acknowledges that they have read this Waiver carefully, understand its terms, and agree to be bound by it. The Participant affirms that they are at least 18 years of age or have obtained parental or legal guardian consent if under 18. Upon payment and acceptance into the mentorship program the participant agrees to this waiver.
